Many people feel that chasing dreams is something impossible and that the reality of them coming true is slim to none. Well, take it from someone who is witnessing it first hand that, every dream you take a step towards, is only a step closer to it becoming a reality. I used to be someone with a dream, and now I am someone who makes them come true, and that is 'The Sweet Life' to me.
About a year ago, by mere chance, I met one very interesting person. The most interesting part is, she was across the world from me. For someone who was so far, I never imagined how close we could become. I connected with Viola of Project Sweet Stuff over a post on Instagram, and it flourished into something sweeter than I would have ever guessed.
Viola decided to take a trip to Los Angeles, all the way from Australia and meet me in person. After what was an amazing lunch, filled with so much conversation, detail and most of all, real goodness, blossomed into a friendship and now, a partnership.
While blabbing our lives away over good food, we realized what was of real value here - and that was, good company. We realized not only did we share a great deal of history in common, but we also shared similar future goals.
So....a meeting of pure chance turned into a project in present development. Project Sweet Stuff, a blog focusing on fulfilling experiences through food and travel and, I, MakeupByLilit, are producing an event that will make you recall and strive for your 'Sweet Life.'
On January 29, 2015, Viola and I will host an exclusive event; an evening of sweet bites, intimate conversation, and empowerment with a group of notable female bloggers all built around asking the question, 'What's Your Sweet Life?"
I would like to extend a huge thank you to our official sponsor evo hair for being behind this event, as we gathered bloggers from all parts of the world and all areas of focus under one roof for one sweet evening. I am looking forward to meeting and connecting with all these amazing women, who each bring something different to the table. This year is going to be dedicated to woman empowerment and to living your ideal 'Sweet Life.'
I can't wait to share all the photos and details of this moving event!
The best is yet to come...
