I am going to be a little off-topic today because, well, the subject of this blog post says it all. It's my Birthday AND my 2 year Wedding Anniversary! I have had so many blessings these past few years; but more than anything I am thankful for my little but growing family. Here's a little background for those who have interest: I have been with my husband for almost 4 years now. A year and a half into our dating, he proposed and 4 months later, we got married! Due to my hectic work schedule and being booked a year in advance with my clients, didn't leave us much choice when we were picking the date. While I was looking into the following year, David decided that that was too long to wait and wanted to get married during my vacation time. I take vacation every year around my bday and in this case, it was 4 months away from my engagement. Long story short, I called up my Wedding planner and it was done: July 4 was available at the venue we wanted for our Wedding. Only one month after we got married, I got pregnant. 41 weeks later, popped out our beautiful baby girl Katherine Elcie Abovian! So to say the least, our life has been going very fast these last 4 years. We just celebrated Kats 1 year birthday and we can't help but keep looking back at how quick things have rolled along. Most importantly, we would do it all over again, life after life. David and I always wonder why we didn't meet even sooner and start our lives sooner. We truly feel lucky/happy every day of our lives that we found each other, of course being thankful to our sister in law Ellina for introducing us. Life has never felt better, not for me, not for him. The crazy part is that its only the beginning. This year, I turn 33 and I couldn't be happier with where I am in life. It is such an indescribable feeling that I cannot put it into words. You only know if you've gone through it yourself. To be happy to your core. No money, fame, lifestyle can ever even come close to this type of happiness. I am always hesitant to say these words out loud because I feel I will be hurting those who are not fully content with their lives at the moment or maybe are going through something or maybe have not been so lucky. I also feel like its a dream I am going to wake up from at any moment and I don't want to jinx myself. But I remind myself that I shouldn't feel guilty about being happy - it truly comes from within and anyone can be, it just has to be the right time. Today, on my Birthday & Anniversary, I can't help but express and share my joy. I feel like you are always a part of my journey so I wanted to share something personal from my life that will teach you just one more thing about me: Family is Everything.
Hey guys! I decided to switch things up a bit and get out of my comfort zone with this new YouTube tutorial. If you know me, I keep my makeup simple on the regular but I LOVE playing with colors. I got the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Brushes palette and the first color that stood out to me was this blue! The pigments in this palette are truly amazing. I will do another blog post soon with all the swatches. I hope you guys enjoy this simple and fun tutorial! Please don't forget to Subscribe, Like & Comment. I appreciate your support! <3 6/28/2017 3 Comments ColourPop x iLuvSarahiiSo I am super late in reviewing this launch but I'm going to do it anyway because...I truly love it! And give you my 2 cents on it, of course! First of all...PACKAGING! Ugh, obsessed. I love the matte soft blush tone with the metallic gold accents - well done Karen! And just look at her photoshoot? I have always admired her as a fellow artist because before she became a social influencer/youtube/instaStar - she was in my world of Bridal beauty. She worked on clients for many years so when I hear her talk about makeup, she speaks to my soul. She's knowledgable, educated, experienced and of course talented! Alright...scroll below to actually hear my review lol. The CollectionChic-yThis is definitely a Lilit palette. If you know me, you know I am such a...minimalist ;) I have to say, these colors are perfection and that one shade of shimmer completes this palette. The pigments on ColourPop shadows are always the ultimate so it was no surprise this was perfect too. Buildable, blendabe, butter! Palettes like this, I can never get enough of! AND its on sale for $12! $aucySo if you know me at all, you know I don't get crazy with colors (on the usual) but when I do, its either bronze or mauve. So I am naturally gravitated to this palette, however, I am a little confused about the peachy coral in there. It is not a color I would ever use with shades like this but then again, I do more simple/natural makeup so its just not really my style. But then again this palette is also on sale for $12. Are you kidding? Get it girl! LippiesI know Karen is a true artist simply based on her lippie collection. The three colors she's chosen is ALL I ever use on my clients. Most of my clients are brides so these type of shades is all I ever use. AND I love that she made the darkest color matte (I personally hate glossy dark shades), the neutral shade is satin finish and the lightest is glossy...PERFECT variation. I also love that she has a matching lip liner for each shade - thank the lord! There you have it, my overall review on this amazing collection! I am going to do a youtube tutorial using one of these palettes soon so I will share it with you when I do!

6/21/2017 1 Comment My Famous Green Shadow on PinterestA look I did on my lunch break from a Corporate job a decade ago carries on until today all over the web. When I was "younger", I guess you can say I was a little more daring with my makeup. Bright colors, glitters, lashes on the daily! As I got older, I have toned down my makeup a lot. However, every time I come across this picture, I am inspired all over again and truly miss those days! I decided to re-create this look because it really is an iconic look in my beauty history that I am always recognized and remembered by. However, since this was a decade ago, a lot of products have discontinued, so I have listed replacements! The first question everyone always has is, What green eyeshadow is that?! LimeCrime had just launched their brand with a line of lipsticks particularly one shade called CosmoPop (I don't know if this one still exists) and so I fell in love with the brand back then and bought every product she launched at the time. This Chindadoll palette was the first in her collection to launch and I used the shade "Jade O Lade" on my lid. That green was everything! Unfortunately it is now non-existent and I haven't been able to find a green like that since! I warmed up the crease with Wedge, Cork and Brun from MAC (I remember because I used those for transitional shades for years!) topped off with black liner and lashes! To re-create my look, I used the Mehron Earth palette in the shade Tropical Storm. It was the closest matte green that I found! It is not exact, but it works to get the look I was looking for! For my lips, I used a shade called Peach Ice from a brand called La Femme that is as old of a brand as it could get! Naimie's Beauty Center used to carry the line, it was cheapy but quality and it would sell like hot cakes! That shade was everything! For my re-creation, I used the Anastasia lip palette vol. 1 to recreate the look with a lip gloss on top from Motives Cosmetics called Fizzle. It came pretty close if I do say so myself! It's crazy when you remember the makeup and the products you did ages ago...that's when you know you LOVE makeup! I eat, sleep, drink - makeup.
So excited to announce, the ElcieCosmetics Hydra Enhancer is NOW AVAILABLE on www.ElcieCosmetics.com and Naimie's Beauty Center! Introducing an innovative hydrating and setting mist that balances the complexion, sets makeup and refreshes the skin! This alkaline facial water is an antioxidant, neutralizing free radicals. It has smaller molecules than tap water, so it absorbs more easily into your skin giving you maximum hydration with a quicker effect, while holding your makeup in place all day. Our bodies naturally have a PH balance of 7 and what we consume throughout the day may throw off our PH balance from a 1 (most acidic) to 14 (maximum alkaline). When our body is more hydrated, so is our skin! However, we do not all drink as much water as we should and when we do, its not always a PH balanced water or even alkaline! In fact, most water we drink is very acidic - almost as equivalent to coffee! How crazy that? Alkaline water has much smaller molecules than tap water which means it absorbs your into your skin quicker hydrating your skin 10 times quicker. I decided to create an alkaline based facial mist that not only hydrates and refreshes your skin but prolongs your makeup for an all days wear. Infused with Jasmine essential oil for a refreshing scent but no artificial perfumes to irritate your skin! Spray it on bare face, use to set your makeup or spray on throughout the day to refresh your makeup. Hope you love it as much as I do - would love to hear your thoughts! <3
