When WeddedWonderland and I first thought about collaborating on an Australian tour, we didn't really know what to expect. It's my first time doing a class out of the country and it's their first time hosting a makeup class. You may wonder how this came about? One of the WeddedWonderland editors, Viola of ProjectSweetStuff, came out to LA to do an interview with me for their online wedding magazine. When she came to my studio for the interview, we actually did nothing but chat about our lives. The interview did happen at some point, but that's when it all began. We kept a really close relationship, along with Wendy of WeddedWonderland. By this time, I was getting constant emails and comments about coming out to Australia for a class. I didn't realize how big the fan base was until Viola and Wendy encouraged me to do a class there. We put a little schedule together, shared it and next thing we know, hundreds of emails were coming through.
We set up 3 different types of classes; one day seminar, 2-day Masterclass and a 3-day Masterclass to accommodate for every level of expertise and need. We filled up the Sydney classes and realized we need to extend it to Melbourne as well. I did not know what to expect when I walked into the WeddedWonderland HQ! They had decked out the entire space to a glamorous event! Noel had collaborated with many vendors and put together a dreamy MakeUp seminar. With chandeliers, to candy and cupcakes, flowers, beautiful lighting and much more. I cannot thank the team enough for going ABOVE and BEYOND my expectations. The girls loved it! I met some of the most amazing women during my 4-day teaching span in Sydney. First of all the women are just beautiful!! However, hearts of gold. The words expressed to me, the actions and the reactions told me a story. I am so glad I finally got to meet some of my biggest fans on social media, in person! I put myself out there on social media and I assume people get to know me that way; but it feels nice to actually get to know YOU! I made some great friends and had an emotional time departing. I am going to miss you all so much! (You better come visit me in LA!)
It was definitely a hectic week for me filled with classes and interviews and projects but I enjoyed every single bit of it! I still can't believe the Australian news picked up on it! Will be posting more links and photos soon! Sydney...you've been good. Xo
