Not that I ever need the days on a calendar to be a reason for me to wear a pair of sunglasses, but I can't help to crave a change in my sunnie style when a new season rolls around! I love when Spring and Summer comes, and the sun shines bright as ever, I always get very excited for another chance, another season, to find an awesome pair of shades. Fun Fact: I like to use this as my reason to shop ;)
A couple months ago, I came across a very cool brand that I wasn't too familiar with. I love finding things that are different from the obvious, and most of all, I love buying pieces that not too many people have heard of.
I connected with Alexander Daas in January when the brand joined in on an event I co-produced called "What's Your Sweet Life?" I was styled into the sleek 'Victory' trendy sunnies, that I absolutely loved! The photo below shows me wearing pair, which some of you may have seen previously on my Instagram post, for a recent outing in Beverly Hills! :)
After the event, I was personally invited to their adorable boutique in Larchmont Village for a day of fun! Daas Optique opened its doors to me and my favorite Aussie, Viola Doyle of Project Sweet Stuff, to come and shop for my new Spring shades!
First off all, let's start by letting it be known how amazingly cute this entire area is! Whoever lives in LA, you must come here! Whoever doesn't, you must come here! LOL! I really loved the vibe of Larchmont; it doesn't even feel like you're in typical LA. The street is so cute, with little shops and restaurants - it's the perfect place for an outing, especially in the Spring!
We made our way into the boutique after a delicious lunch a couple doors down and were personally greeted by their employee, Nancy, who by the way, was the sweetest person ever! She really took the time to help me pick a flattering pair of sunglasses, while I tried on the entire store!
One thing that I really loved about Daas Optique, besides the attentive and knowledgeable customer service was that, their boutique was a mix of all brands, including their very own - Alexander Daas! Their selection of sunglasses was one of the best I have yet to come across in any optical store. They carried everything from fun and funky to casual and sophisticated styles!
I want to extend a huge thank you to Daas Optique for being so wonderful to Viola and I, and for showing us such a great time at your boutique! I can't wait to be back!
