Becca is the brand that doesn't usually disappoint you. Most of their products have been and are thought out and quality. Now I know they already have many highlighters (Opal which I LOVE) but I was excited to try their newbies and matching glow glosses. I have swatched them below with my reviews. Let me know your thoughts!
As usual, let's start with packaging and product development. Becca created 6 holographic highlighters with matching lip glosses. The package is a beautiful gold/pearlescent packaging which is so beautiful you don't want to throw it away. That aside, the compacts and the glosses were pretty basic as far as Becca packaging. I'm usually not a huge fan of holographic. In fact, when I was in Italy, all the vendors were insisting on showing me holographic, as that was what was trending. BUT, the colors Becca put together for each two tone is pretty perfect. Their product development team is GOLDEN! Check out the swatches below.
Light Chaser Highlighters
There are three pink toned highlighters with gold or silver undertones. The pigments are beautiful and not glittery at all; it goes on just like butter. I don't have much to say about this because it's not a new product - but I have to say I like pink on the lighter skin tones and gold on darker skin tones - so I'm not quite sure how I like the dark pink, personally!
The gold tones are beautiful and usually my favorites. However I have to say I am a little bit confused about the purple-y gray one in the middle. That is the one shade I did not like and cannot imagine what type of skin color that would compliment. But that shade is the reason why I was not into holographic this year, it is however trending just like the unicorn and rainbow highlighters. I am honestly not a fan of it but doesn't mean it's not great for someone who likes "more than natural".
liquid Crystal Toppers
I am very particular with lip glosses. I usually like the color to be very subtle and I am not a fan of pigmented glosses, I'd rather do a lipstick. So I have to say that I did actually love these new Becca lip toppers. The color is very sheer and just makes your lips look beautiful without adding too much color. Again, I have to say, I am not a fan of the gray one. In fact the lip gloss actually has blue glitter - not sure why lol; but it's all part of the holographic trend, if you're into that.
I tried not messing with the lighting too much when taking these photos because I wanted you to see the true colors of each swatch. I think it's always a good idea to have matching glosses and highlighters because it makes the consumers job easy! Too many shades of highlighters on the market and many glosses can be overwhelming. Have you guys tried these? Would love to hear your thoughts!
