Hey fans! So I finally set the date for the grand opening of my new make up studo, "Lilit's Make Up Studio"...duh! ;) Please RSVP by commenting on this post, emailing me at either MakeUpbyLilit@gmail.com or LilitsMakeUpStudio@gmail.com, phone or facebook message me. I would love to get an approximate head count so I can have enough food and champagne...and if that doesn't win you over, I will be raffling off some AWESOME gifts, ha! I'd love to meet all my fans and see old faces. Again, I thank you all for your continuous support you have shown me in any shape or form...I couldn't do this without you. My website will soon be up regarding all that I will be offering through the studio. Hope to see you all there! <3 Add Comment It has been a long time since my last update! Exactly a month, in fact. I have had so much going on that it doesn't leave me enough time and room to work on my blog and my updates. As most of you already know, I am in the process of finally opening my own make-up studio, so that's where all my extra time is going. It will take a little over a month to get it up and ready and I am SUPER anxious! It has been a long time coming for me so I cannot wait till I move in and share with you. To answer all your questions, it will include everything I do now: make-up, hair styling, photography, seminars & classes. I will be teaching full make up courses starting summer and I will update you on that as well as soon as I have the details ironed out. For those of you who have appointments with me within the next month, I will still be working at my current location that you have been provided through email. Once the new location is ready, I will keep you updated on the final date and you will need to come to my new place in Sherman Oaks from then on. Again, I cannot thank you all ENOUGH for all your continuous support throughout the years. I would not be able to fulfill my dream without your conditional love and support. I hope you are all able to make it to the grand opening! Please email me if you have any further questions and I will gladly get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you <3 As most of you already know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. As of the 15th, I have decided that I will be saving $5 from every client who will be purchasing a make-up session from me, until the end of the month. I will be donating the total collected amount to the Susan G. Komen foundation. In fact, I was recently approached by two sisters who have lost their mom to breast cancer. They will be doing a 3 day walk of 60 miles in November to help raise funds for the Susan G. Komen breast cancer research. I hope to have collected enough funds for them to reach their goal! If you would like to donate, please email me and I will give you information on how to do that. Thank you very much in advance! <3 Hey Fans, If you are not on facebook and have not seen my posts on my fanpage, I will be teaching a make-up class this month. The seminar will be about 8 hours (including lunch) at Naimies Beauty Center on Sunday, August 28, 2011. The class will cover all the basics you'd need to know A-Z, including my tips and tricks on how to achieve the perfect face. The seminar is open to anyone, whether professional or not. I will provide a demonstration, product recommendations, booklets you will be able to take home with you and then you will practice on each other (or yourself) under my guidance. In addition, you will receive one professional photo of yourself that I will later provide to you. If you are interested in the class, please provide me with your email address on this blog post or you may email me at MakeUpbyLilit@gmail.com and I will forward you the flyer and provide you with any other details that you may need. Hey guys! I wanted to blog about an awesome group that I have recently been working with. They are an event planning company called Kitchen 12000. Besides their phenomenal catering service, they provide everything you would need from A through Z for your event. I know competition is tough out there since there are sooo many people in the industry. But seriously, this group stands out more than any other I've seen. You can see for yourself on their website Kitchen12000.com or on facebook. They are SO unique & tasteful in everything they do! For your next event...have them plan it for you. I promise, you will NOT be disappointed. They coordinate events like nobody's business. In addition, they are some of the nicest people ever! It is such a pleasure to work with them that it's effortless. And NO, they did not pay me to post this blog lol or even ask me to write about them. I really believe in their vision and love love lovee their work and would recommend them 100%. Let me know what you think! Hey Fans! So I've been getting a lot of questions about my history of work, when I started and how I got into make-up. So I thought I should give you guys a little history about my career as a make-up artist. During the summer in 2003, a friend of mine suggested we go to make-up school together, just for fun. We never thought both of our careers would really evolve into being make-up artists. We decided to go to MUD (Make Up Designory) in Burbank mainly because it was less expensive than most the schools out there and also because it was nearby. We had an amazing teacher who worked in the industry that gave us a lot of tips and tricks into becoming great make-up artists. From then on, I fell in love with make-up and realized I was actually good at it. While in school, we both got a job at Naimies Beauty Center in Valley Village as sales reps and make-up artists. Working at Naimie's definitely gave me the best hands on experience I could ask for. I got to play around with some of the best brands and figured out my likes and dislikes. In the meantime, I began working as a freelance make-up artist, working from home. In 2006 (if I remember correctly), I became a freelance artist for Laura Mercier for about 6 months. I have to say, it became one of my favorite brands! Since then, I have been on my own doing my own thing. I really love what I do and always give my 110% in everything I do. I was mainly an event make-up artist but I have opened up and expanded my works to the studios in the last 2-3 years. Make-up was always a side job for me, as I was going to school and working full time. I finally got my MBA last year and have been working in Finance at The Walt Disney Studios since 2007. BUT, I hope to eventually focus on make-up as my career and pursue to do what I love to do best! I am extremely happy with my current clientele and hope to meet you all at some point or another. Thank you for all your love and support! If you guys have any questions, please feel free to ask and I will gladly respond. <3 Hey Everyone! I am now offering Airbrush make-up services. What is the difference you may wonder? For one, airbrush make up is known for its long lasting effect. It has amazing coverage but you don't see it! The one I use in particular is known to last up to 18 hours. No retouching, no rubbing off and no shine! It is perfect for your special day because it provides a flawless look for photos and HD video! It is lightweight, supernatural yet effective. It is an oil-free, water based foundation with no silicon, unlike other airbrush products. Have a tattoo you want to cover for a special day? No problem. It covers completely without the thick effect of any other make up. It wont rub off on your clothes...better yet, it wont come off until you wash it off with soap! It is perfect for anyone who has oily skin and shines often. Airbrush make up leaves you matte and flawless all day. If you guys have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask...that's why I am here! :) |
