Hello everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the holidays! This week I wanted to introduce a product that I have been using for years on all my clients and myself. The Laura Mercier Eye Basics is a primer for your eye lids. They come in a few different shades, but I found that Wheat works with most skin tones. Why do we need it? We all have a little bit of a color difference on our eye lids because the skin is so thin, you can see every imperfection from pigmentation to veins. The eye basics acts as a concealer on the lid and brightens up the eye area. You may even put some in the corners of your eyes to cover any darkness. I have found this product to be the best from all the other ones I have tried because its' creamy texture lets you blend very easily and most importantly it does not crease! So you may use it just by itself to give your eyes more of the "natural" look, or you may use it underneath eye shadow. I can not put on eye shadow without this product! First, it helps the color go on true and second, it keeps your eye make up long lasting! You won't have any problems with your eyeshadow fading and such. The Eye Basics have vitamins and botanicals to protect your eye as well. This waterproof product is ideal for anyone! You can find it at Naimies Beauty Center or any department store. One tube goes a long way, so it is definitely worth the money! Try it out and let me know how you guys like it. Thank you!

Hi All, hope everyone had a good weekend! I am very excited about the photoshoots Rosie and I did last weekend. Please see all new and updated pics at the bottom of My Portfolio page. The first look which I call the "swan" look was inspired from the simple feathers on her face. My model has very unique almond shaped eyes, so it was perfect for the look I wanted. I used a lot of white around her eyes, added a hint of orange and smoked the corners with black to give it that "swan" look. Her look is already very delicate and classy, so the pictures came out exactly how I wanted. As for the "barbie" look, I went for a more fun, extraordinary look that is beyond our average scope of make up. My model for this shoot has a very classic look but a very animated personality, so this shoot was perfect for her. The colorful vibrant look gives the barbie effect while her big n sexy hair gives it the vogue edge. This was definitely one of the more fun shoots I've done! Hope you guys enjoy them. Comments and Feedback are welcome :)

Ok girls, so everyone always asks me what foundation I use on my day to day basis. It's been about 3 years now...and I am addicted to my Youngblood Mineral Foundation. I discovered them at a small booth a few years ago at a Beauty Convention. In the 3 years I have been using their line, they have progressed dramatically. Last year, their booth was one of the largest make up booths at the convention. Their whole line is amazing from their powder, to their mineral blushes, and etc. The reason I love their foundation so much is because it is like no other! Its natural, mineral based without the chemicals you will find in other foundations. It is lightweight, silky and has amazing coverage. How does this defer from Bare Escentuals? Well for one, Bare Escentuals has only 4 colors (although I believe they expanded lately?) and most importantly they are not pink! If you have an olive-based skintone, you will notice Bare Escentuals will not match your skin, no matter what color. Youngblood has a variety of shades to match your skin color perfectly! They sell this product at Beauty Mark in Glendale. Give it a try and let me know what you think. I promise, once you go Youngblood, you won't go back!

Hi All! So Rosie and I finally got a chance to work on some photoshoot pics we took back in the summer! New photos will always be posted at the bottom of the page. The idea we had for Marine (red hair) was a Moulin Rouge theme, therefor the mask-like white around her eyes. Her face is already flawless, so I didn't have to do much there. I bronzed up her cheeks with Nars Torrid which went perfect with her hair, added some blue eyeliner and kept the lashes very natural. Her photos came out amazing! As for Ani (black hair), we were leaning towards a more Kim Kardashian sort of look. I went really dramatic with the eyes and the lashes but very pale on the lips, just like how Kim does it. She had the big eyes and the round cheeks necessary, so the look came out exactly how we wanted. Overall it was a great success and Rosie did a great job capturing exactly what I had in mind! Hope you guys like them :) Please leave any questions and or comments and I will do my best to answer them. Thank you!

Hey Girls! Hope everyone had a Great Thanksgiving! I know I haven't written in my blog for a while; but I've been sick in bed for the past week :(. So sorry for delay! I promise I wont leave you for that long again! But I do want to give a Thanks (even though Thanksgiving is long gone...) to all my clients and my fans! I have built such a great relationship and friendship with most my clients. This has made my job so much easier and so much more fun! In this busy life we are all in, its hard to set time aside for each other; luckily for me, I have had that privilege through my work. I am really blessed to work in a field where I am constantly meeting new people and keeping in touch with old ones. I think this is part of why I love my job so much, besides the obvious reasons for the love of make up, but because of the wonderful people I work with. Spending an hour with someone is a great deal of time to get to know one another. I think my clients would agree with me as well, that it feels very comfortable because it doesn't just feel like a 'job', we both enjoy it. Thank you all again very much, keep in touch! :)  Going back to my blog...I have new photos (clients & photoshoots) coming up, along with the product of the week! Stay tuned...
