If you want your make up to look flawless, you must first start with the canvas! Make sure you wash all make up off every night. Although you may not be the type to break out often, the make up sits into your pores and clogs it. This is why we get blackheads, white heads and all those yucky stuff we hate and have trouble getting rid of. You can spend all the money on the greatest foundations and concealers but if your skin does not look good, your make up won't either. A product that I highly recommend is called the Daily Microfoliant from Dermalogica. It's a rice based micro-exfoliant that gets rid of the dead skin and leaves your skin amazingly soft! It is a powder exfoliator unlike scrubs with harsh particles that irritate your skin. The Green Tea, Gingko, Grapefruit, Licorice and Oatmeal combined, brighten your face and leave your skin clear and refreshed. I recommend you use this only at nights to get rid of all the debris your skin has collected throughout the day. I think they sell for about $50; but one bottle goes a long way and it is definitely worth every penny! Give it a try, I promise you will not be disappointed. Let me know what you think...thanks!

Every girl wants her make up to last all day. The last thing you want to do when going to a party is re-apply your make up constantly throughout the night! The key to eliminate the fade is to always apply a cream before the powder. If its long lasting eye shadow you want, always use a creamy primer or a cream eye shadow. Apply the powder right on top of it; it eliminates creasing, brings out the true color and stays on all day! Same goes for eyeliner; if you are using a pencil to line your eyes, always go over it with a black eyeshadow with a thin brush to keep your eyeliner in place. If you like to fill in your eyebrows, use a pencil to shade it in and go over it with eyeshadow or eyebrow powder. It creates a more defined brow and it's smudge-proof! Its one thing to have your eyeliner smear...its another for your eyebrows! Blush is another thing that fades very easily! Apply a cream blush, and use a translucent powder to set it in, then apply powder blush on top of it. Make sure you powder it before you add the powder blush because powder blends with powder, not cream; plus, you do not want spotchy cheeks! Lastly, your lips...it is a good idea to apply some foundation or concealer on your lips before any color. This helps the lipstick go on true instead of mixing with your lip color. Another thing you can do is fill in your lips completely with the lip liner and then your lipstick or gloss. Pencil stays on very well...no smudging, no feathering! I hope this helps! :)

I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope everyone gets what they wish for in 2010. I have a feeling this is going to be a good year...and I think that's where it starts...our outlook! Positive thinking will bring positive results. We should never be afraid to try new things because you really will never know how it will work out. And sometimes, the disappointment is worth the try because although we didn't get the results we wanted, we won't wonder for the rest of our lives "what if?" So reach for the stars, you never know, you just may grab one. We have one life to live, so live it how you really want to live it and not how you are "supposed" to or how people tell you to live it. When you do, you will find a fulfillment you wouldn't otherwise get any other way. Don't give up on your dreams because ambition is half the reason we achieve it. We all have goals, big or small, I hope everyone gets there. Have a great year! LOVE YOU ALL!

Act without doing;
work without effort.
Think of the small as large
and the few as many.
Confront the difficult
while it is still easy;
accomplish the great task
by a series of small acts.
